Had a problem that the generator would go on at odd times for a minute or so. The company I had servicing the unit said it was a glitch in that model of generator and nothing could be done. The problem got worse and I called CT Electrical. They came out the next day and found that mice had eaten the wire insulation in the controller and it had shorted out. Replaced the controller and unit seems to be fixed.
