"We purchased a 24kW model running on natural gas. Our transfer switch is installed indoors next to the electrical panel. Since the generator is located in a low spot in the yard, we had a landscaper make a raised platform consisting of a 6×6″ timber box filled with fine gravel in order to avoid potential water damage. CT Electrical did a great job. They responded to our initial inquiry the same day and scheduled installation just two weeks later. The most exceptional aspect of the job was the way Bruce organized all the various participants so that the entire installation was completed in 6 hours on one day. There were 8 people involved and they had all the needed supplies on hand — 3 electricians, two plumbers (for the gas line), 2 landscapers (one with trenching machine and one who restored sprinkler lines), and finally the town building inspector. Everything proceeded without a hitch. The system was fully operational three days later following the final town inspection. Bruce, Ryan, and Lee have all been very helpful in answering questions and providing guidance throughout the process. I definitely recommend this capable and professional family business.

"Bruce, Ryan and their entire team were one of 5 companies we invited to quote for a 24kw whole house Generac System with buried 500 gallon tank. They were one of only 2 companies that could offer a turnkey solution and competitively priced. Handling every aspect of what is an sequenced installation by many different trades and including timed permit coordination with town. Expedient, competent and gratifyingly prompt communication at all times – while all others provided 3 month plus lead times due to bizarre Covid leadtime issues, literally 3 weeks after signing contract, permit application had been handled with town, liaising with eversource for marking of buried cables, all equipment (tank, generator, generac concrete pad, electronics, ) etc were all pre-delivered on site … and the day following all trades showing up (digger/landscapers for tank & gas piping burial, gas plumbing team, town permit inspector who had to sign off before fill and commission, the liquid propane supply truck and of course Bruce and Ryan’s electrician team.) Like a well conducted orchestra… the entire project was completed and commissioned in THAT one day as a full turnkey solution. I had found Bruce by looking up recommended dealers on Generac’s site – could not recommend them enough. Just great people to work with.

"After getting two other estimates, we decided to hire CT Electrical for the installation of a Generac 22KW home standby generator, along with a 500 gallon underground propane tank. Bruce coordinated everything including the local permits. The generator was installed on time, and with no hidden fees from the initial quote. Bruce kept us informed of every step in the process. "we are so pleased with our Generac installation. FrFrom our initial contact with this company throughout our entire experience, we had absolutely no issues. Initially, we were assigned an estimate appointment. CT Electrical was prompt and professional. The quote was pretty standard. What we especially liked is their quote included EVERYTHING, except the town permit. We got 4 estimates prior to contracting with Bruce, which “appeared” to be lower. However, when questioned, they did not include the plumbing portion of the installation which is substantial. Sometimes, at the time of contracting, we were told we would not even know the plumbing costs until the job was actually performed. One contractor, OJ Mann, who is extremely well known, emailed an estimate, expected a substantial down payment to order the generator. OK, that was understandable. However, they would NOT send anyone out to give a final quote because they were too busy! So you were expected to “wing” and make a non refundable deposit prior to having all the facts. Some dealers expected the customer to secure the permit. Bottom line, EVERYTHING, except the town permit, is included in the CT Electric estimate. "This was our second Generac installation as we had one installed in our previous home some 45 miles from here in New York State. We are quite particular about these things since a generator and electric supply is something that if not done properly can easily destroy a home and lives. We thought that the previous installation went well. What CT-Electric (Bruce) did it was beyond good. First, Bruce, the owner, is the ultimate professional. When we called in to set an appointment for an estimate we were told that Bruce would call back within an hour. He did just that. He showed up for the appointment on time. Bruce managed the propane dealer, the inspectors, the electric work and the excavator with precision. He even arranged for a tan tank in case the tank could not be buried. It was an expensive process but well worth it.

"Bruce completed two projects for me. Initially, he revamped my electrical service from 100 ampere to 200 ampere 120/240 volt, and relocated the main disconnect from inside the house in an awkward location to an easily accessible one outside near a new meter. Once that was completed, he purchased, delivered, and installed an electrical turnkey 22kW Generac Residential Air Cooled Generator with Quiet Test Feature, which includes a whole-house-service rated transfer switch, mounting pad, battery, two 120 gallon liquid propane tanks, and all gas work (the latter performed by outside licensed contractors). "They were prompt and worked efficiently. By 8 a.m. the crushed stone was laid and leveled. Concrete slab placed, as long with the generator. Gas line installed, electrical conduit and switch panel installed. By 1 p.m. the job was completed. Inspection passed with flying colors. They even painted the gas line pipe with Rustoleum!
